Melt Fest in Port Adelaide
Port Adelaide is cutting through the winter chill with Melt Fest, transforming both Klemzig Oval and the surrounding streets into cosy hubs with food and live music pop-ups.
From 11am to 3 pm, Klemzig Oval will be transformed. Food trucks will offer drinks and snacks, while parents’ prayers will be answered thanks to some top children’s entertainers on deck to keep kids enthralled. There’ll also be art workshops from artists Alan Ramachandran and Mandi Glynn-Jones in the Gaza Club Rooms.
After the sun sets, the party moves to the streets. Port will be buzzing with a twilight program featuring performances by musicians such as Max Savage and Wake In Fright, as well as up-and-coming artists like My Chérie, Ella Ion and Jamie Lena. There’ll be al fresco dining across Commercial Road and Iparrityi Laneway, while local venues, including Pirate Life and the Port Admiral Hotel, will form part of a trail of pubs exhibiting art.
